‘The culture of Latino and community of St. Louis is growing’: Non-profit hosts cultural event

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A day to learn about Hispanic Culture at The Sheldon in Grand Center. The event included several performances along with arts and crafts.
“The music is real nice, and the costumes are really pretty,” said Charlotte Rose. She says it was her first time experiencing the culture.
Lizett Mada is a performer and loves what she does. Mada says Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and more are represented. Decades of dancing are one way she honors tradition and believes it is a way to bring people together.
“For Latinos, community is everything, family is everything, so just for everybody to gather here, food, amazing dancing, and good environment, that is something very important for all Latinos, all Latino American countries, Hispanic,” said Mada. Read more here
