ST. LOUIS, Missouri. September 15, 2026, became an especially meaningful day for the Latino and immigrant communities across the St. Louis region. The beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month was marked by ceremonies recognizing Latino culture, the raising of the flag representing this celebration, and an important announcement: the City of St. Louis earned a 2-Star Certified Welcoming Community designation from Welcoming America.

Hispanic Heritage Month is observed each year from September 15 through October 15, recognizing the histories, cultures and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities in the United States.
