St. Louis Business Journal: St. Louis is top city for foreign-born population growth

The St. Louis area’s foreign-born population grew 8.9 percent last year from 2014, the largest percentage growth among the nation’s 20 largest metro areas, recently released Census Bureau figures show.

According to the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey, released last week, St. Louis had an estimated foreign-born population of 129,559 last year, or 4.6 percent of the region’s total estimated population of 2,812,313. That compares with a 2014 foreign-born population for the St. Louis region of 118,936, or 4.2 percent of the total 2014 population of 2,805,856. Click Here to read Full Article
