Srebrenica Remembrance Coalition marks genocide 30th anniversary with public event series

Reported by Illinois Business Journal

The Srebrenica Remembrance Coalition—a partnership of 16 local organizations—will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide with a series of public events from July 10 to 12, culminating in a solemn March of Remembrance through downtown St. Louis on Saturday, July 12.

These commemorations serve as a powerful reminder of the July 1995 atrocity, when more than 8,000 Bosnian men and boys were systematically murdered by Serb forces in and around Srebrenica. Recognized as genocide by international courts, it remains the worst massacre on European soil since World War II. Read more.
