Regional Workforce Partnerships Event to Highlight Future of St. Louis Workforce and Launch of Move2STL Initiative

A keynote conversation with Dr. Ness Sandoval to explore labor trends, talent pipelines, and employer collaboration

ST. LOUIS, MO — The International Institute of St. Louis, Move2STL, and SLATE Missouri Job Center will host Regional Workforce Partnerships: Building a Stronger St. Louis on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at 18Rails at City Foundry STL (3730 Foundry Way, Suite 110, St. Louis, MO 63110). The event will bring together employers, workforce leaders, and economic development partners for an evening of conversation and networking focused on regional labor needs, workforce collaboration, and long-term economic growth. Drinks and appetizers will be served. RSVP is required.

The program will feature a keynote conversation with Dr. Ness Sandoval on the future workforce in St. Louis, including how declining birth rates are impacting labor supply and hiring trends. The event will also highlight the launch of Move2STL, a new initiative powered by the International Institute of St. Louis that is designed to help employers expand talent pipelines through relocation, strengthen employer partnerships, and fill open roles faster. Attendees will learn how regional workforce initiatives are responding to labor shortages, explore the Move2STL model and employer engagement opportunities, and examine how relocation strategies can support sustainable growth for the St. Louis region.
