Festival of Nations, Polish Festival and Soulard Market celebrate food and culture

ST. LOUIS - Several St. Louis-area weekend events, including The Festival of Nations, Polish Festival and Soulard Market, are celebrating food and culture.

FESTIVAL OF NATIONS

One of the region's largest multi-cultural festivals returned to Tower Grove Park on Saturday.

The Festival of Nations is a free two-day event centered around the vibrant immigrant communities of St. Louis.

Organizers say this year's event is expected to be the largest on record and features 200 food and retails vendors from more than 70 countries, along with live music and dancing.

The festival returns from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

POLISH FESTIVAL

The Polish Falcons of America celebrated their 50th annual polish festival on Saturday in Florissant.

Visitors had the chance to try traditional Polish food, pastries and ice cold beer while playing games and listening to live Polka music.

CELEBRATE SOULARD

Soulard Market celebrated its roots on Saturday with its Founder's Day Bluegrass Festival.

The event honors Julia Soulard, who in 1841, donated two city blocks of land, which led to the creation of one of the oldest public markets found anywhere across the United States. The event offered lots of live music and food.
