Red Lantern City Night Market returns to St. Louis July 18

ST. LOUIS – The Central West End will come alive with lanterns, live performances, and Asian cuisine as Red Lantern City Night Market returns for its second year.

The free event will be held Saturday, July 18, from 4 to 11 p.m. outside Saigon Cafe, 10 North Euclid, in the Central West End. Inspired by traditional Asian night markets, the market brings together local businesses, artists, and performers for an evening celebrating the Asian cultures.

More than 50 local vendors will offer handmade art, clothing, jewelry and specialty goods, while guests can enjoy dishes from across Asia, handcrafted cocktails, and other treats. The festival will also feature cultural experiences and live entertainment throughout the evening.

This year’s entertainment lineup includes performances by the St. Louis Osuwa Taiko drumming group, lion dances by the International Shaolin Wushu Center, performances by the St. Louis Okinawa Eisa Yui Group, and more.

The Red Lantern City Night Market has grown into one of St. Louis’ signature summer celebrations. The event is presented by Saigon Cafe in partnership with community organizations, including the Japan America Society of St. Louis, the St. Louis Asian American Chamber of Commerce, Yelp St. Louis, and the Very Asian Foundation.
