Mosaic Executive Director on Steering Committee for Welcoming Economies Global Network

At NIIC 2015, the IMPRINT coalition hosted a special session and discussion of two new groundbreaking studies on the “brain waste” of highly-skilled immigrants and the importance of successful integration programs for local economies. The Migration Policy Institute's study, to be released this spring, quantifies the lost economic contributions from the underemployment or unemployment of college-educated immigrants, and IMPRINT's “Steps to Success” identifies factors that impact the successful integration of highly-skilled immigrant talent. Together, these studies provide ample reason for both why meaningful employment is imperative and strategies for how to tackle effective integration.
