Local Agency works to help Syrian refugees feel comfortable in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Local agencies are preparing for the arrival of more Syrian refugees.

Since last October, 81 Syrian refugees have settled into the area. The International Institute expects about 950 refugees, 300 of them from Syria, throughout the fiscal year.

The International Institute has volunteers that help the refugees learn English, fill out applications and find a place to live.
