Indian agtech company to open U.S. headquarters in St. Louis

Lacgene Technologies, an Indian agtech company that uses nanotechnology and genetics to help farmers, will establish its U.S. headquarters at the Helix Center Biotech Incubator in Creve Coeur.

A formal announcement is expected before the end of the year.

In St. Louis, the company will operate under the name Blue Orb Solutions and create 30 new jobs. Blue Orb will begin operating here in January, with a production facility expected to be built next spring, and full manufacturing and distribution starting in 2017.
