Amid refugee funding shifts, the International Institute hosts art-fueled benefit show

After the second Trump administration froze federal funding for refugee resettlement, local organizations like the International Institute of St. Louis stepped up to fill the gap, rallying community support to welcome new arrivals. Now, they’re turning to art to fuel their mission. 

On May 10, the institute will host a benefit show at The Heavy Anchor, featuring poetry and music to champion the cause of helping immigrants and refugees thrive in the region. Read more.
