Mosaic Executive Director and others to present at International Institute Bagel Event Nov. 10

In September 2016, four St. Louis leaders participated in a whirlwind tour of Germany to learn more about migrant settlement efforts and identify best practices. They traversed Germany, moving rapidly from western to eastern cities of varying size. In each, they met with public and private officials as well as volunteers and recent migrants. The visit culminated in Berlin with a conference about “Innovative Approaches to Integration.”

The learning exchange was the second phase in a collaborative initiative that brought their German counterparts to St. Louis earlier this year. What did they observe in Germany? How has the visit helped form their thinking about programs and initiatives in St. Louis that result in a more welcoming community for all?
