The mission of the Affton School District is to prepare all of our students to become confident and capable citizens through rigorous, customized learning. Affton’s continuous journey toward excellence sparks innovative teaching and learning, developing students as responsible citizens prepared for the challenges of the global society.
Affton High School action items:
- Make Affton High School and other schools permanent donation sites for International Institute.
- Host a mini-Festival of Nations highlighting the rich diversity of our immigrant community in April.
- Make welcoming immigrant families a core part of Operation Anti-Discrimination, a movement to create stronger hate crime laws throughout America.
- Establish a mentorship program with Saint Louis Universities Bosnian Herzegovina Students Association.
- Collaborate with Mehlville High School in their effor to establish a Bosnian American Studies course.
- Include a representative from St. Louis Mosaic Project on Guidance Advisory Council.
