[STLtoday.com] Local Hispanic chamber of commerce wins national award

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan St. Louis was named the 2018 chamber of the year by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. 

The award is based on accomplishments in business, economic development, procurement, leadership and service to the Hispanic community. 

Board Chair Facundo Oyenard said the St. Louis Hispanic chamber grew its membership by 45 percent between July 2016 and July 2017, and expanded its bilingual business services in the area. 
 
The St. Louis chamber was recognized in the "large chamber" category. In 2013, when it had approximately 200 members, it won the award for the "small chamber" category.
