Virtual Festival of Nations

Since its reintroduction in 2001, Festival of Nations has attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors each August to shady Tower Grove Park in St. Louis for a cornucopia of multicultural experiences, from dance, to music, to food, to crafts, and more. This year, the International Institute of St. Louis introduces virtual Festival of Nations, an online opportunity to “meet, share and care.” Visit the Festival of Nations website for the full schedule.

Please consider joining Mosaic's two live sessions on Zoom this weekend:

Learn how to make Korean dish called Japchae

Japchae is made with sweet potato starch noodles and a variety of vegetables and meat.  Learn from Bomi Park of the St. Louis Mosaic Project about the traditional Korean dish. This dish is gluten-free and could easily be made as a vegan dish. Don’t miss out on the chance to ask any Korean food questions!

Friday, August 28 at 1pm-2pm

Korean, Spanish, and Arabic Language Lessons

If you've always wanted to learn a few simple sentences in different languages, this is your chance! Learn how to say hello, thank you, and maybe a few 'ready-to-travel' sentences in Korean, Spanish, and Arabic. Get culture tips on how to be friendly with the locals. This session is planned by the St. Louis Mosaic Project and the International Institute of St. Louis.

Saturday, August 29 at 11am-12pm

Virtual Tour of 16 St. Louis Sister Cities

The St. Louis Sister Cities Program is part of the World Trade Center St. Louis’ international mission. Sanctioned by Sister Cities International (www.sister-cities.org), locally, it supports and coordinates the 16 sister cities programs and provides guidance for those interested in establishing new sister cities relations.

Enjoy a virtual tour of St. Louis Sister Cities and submit your answers to the quizzes after each Sister City to be considered for a raffle! Check under Global Corner section on this page this weekend, this is a "self-guided" virtual tour you can do on your own time.
