Mosaic's Suzanne Sierra among 2021 Champions for Diversity & Inclusion Award honorees

It's been more than 10 years since the St. Louis Business Journal set out to celebrate those who promote diversity around race, sexual orientation and disability with its Diverse Business Leaders program. And earlier this year, we decided to make some changes to the program.

We renamed the program Champions for Diversity & Inclusion. While the objective remains the same, we hope that by renaming the program — and refining some of the nominee criteria — that we can further hone its mission: to showcase individuals who, through their work, are truly championing the cause of making St. Louis a more inclusive place to live and work.

We're excited to bring you the 2021 class of Champions for Diversity & Inclusion winners, which includes 14 individuals, one nonprofit and one for-profit company. These individuals are doing what they can to make St. Louis a more diverse, equitable and inclusive community through efforts at their companies and in the St. Louis community. You'll have the chance to read exactly how they're doing that in the Sept. 10 issue of the Business Journal.
