Last year, St. Louis’ conversation about economic growth changed, hopefully forever. In June 2012, Professor Jack Strauss of St. Louis University published The Economic Impact of Immigration on St. Louis. In it, he demonstrated “…that a lack of immigration explains a considerable portion of the (STL) region’s slow income growth.”
