The Mosaic Project in St. Louis, derived from research done in 2013 and 2014 about the devastating economic consequences from severe population declines in the “rust belt” of the US, has documented that immigrants are 60% more likely to start a business, 130% more likely to have an advanced degree, 44% more likely to be college educated and 3 times more likely to be high skilled than the average American worker.
