become an ambassador
Mosaic Ambassadors help St. Louis become more globally welcoming in many ways. You may hear them talking about dining at one of the area's many ethnic restaurants, visiting the International Institute, or sipping tea with someone of another nationality. Ambassadors may also volunteer to help a newcomer practice their English, learn a bus route or serve as an ongoing buddy or mentor to answer questions as they navigate their new hometown. By volunteering time, skills and offering compassion, Ambassadors make a meaningful difference in the lives of new arrivals.
There is no cost to become a Mosaic Ambassador and we provide you with a brief orientation when you sign-up. Here are a few things you can do to make our region more globally welcoming:

Amplify the mission of the St. Louis Mosaic Project by sharing information with others.

Make a donation of at least $10 to an organization that serves immigrants.

Attend our STL 101 events and invite others.

Invite someone born outside of the United States that you know to your home for dinner or out for coffee.

Be available to share your country knowledge or St. Louis regional experience with a person or organization.
