Catholics respond to Pres. Trump's executive actions on refugees and immigration | St. Louis Review

On Jan. 27, President Donald J. Trump signed an executive memorandum that suspends the entire U.S. refugee resettlement program for 120 days and bans entry of all citizens from seven majority-Muslim countries for 90 days. President Trump said the action is intended to keep Islamic terrorists out of the United States. He previously signed actions that authorized construction of a border wall along the U.S. border with Mexico and another that instructed the secretary of homeland security to look at how federal funding streams might be cut for cities and states that illegaly harbort those in the country without legal permission.
