When Lamonte Sowell opened Regents Service and Supply in St. Louis in 1998, he knew his own company would be daunting at times. He had been laid off from an insurance company and was working as a night manager at a grocery store when he decided to open Regents, a company that distributes maintenance and janitorial supplies.
