OCA 44th Annual Fundraising and Youth Scholarship Gala

OCA-St. Louis, Asian Pacific American Advocates is pleased to announce our 44th Annual Fundraising and Youth Scholarship Award Gala on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Clayton Plaza Hotel. At the gala, they will present their annual Youth Leadership Scholarships and share previous awardees’ experiences. Guests will also have a chance to participate in a raffle for amazing prizes and enjoy live entertainment during the dinner event.
You are cordially invited to attend the GALA to help us to support OCA to continue providing scholarships to local students and offering leadership programs and professional development opportunities for students and professionals. Below are just a few of our accomplishments over the last couple of years – all of which were made possible through the contributions of our generous sponsors and volunteers:
- Sponsored four youth scholarships for local high school seniors
- Organized two student leadership training programs, which brought together 120 students from five universities
- Hosted two annual MAAP career mentorship programs for students and professionals
- Led and participated in Diversity Days at numerous local Fortune 500 businesses
- Helped local companies recruit diverse professionals by promoting job opportunities on OCA social media channels and emails
- Educated the community about Chinese culture and art by participating in events such as the Gateway Dragonboat Festival, Chinese Culture Days, Festival of Nations, Lunar New Year celebrations and more.
We do offer a discount price ($55/person) for the early bird registration on the EventBrite link by February 28, 2017. The price will be $60/person in March.
