Immigration pressures at the U.S. southern border and from other areas of the world create both national and local humanitarian and legal challenges. Anna Crosslin will share an historical perspective on immigration in the United States up to the present. Marie Kenyon will discuss the current status of immigrants and asylum seekers in St Louis and along the Mexican border. In addition, Sara John will provide an update on pending federal and state immigration legislation. Join the meeting to learn what we can do as advocates and volunteers to support immigrants and immigration reform.
