Join this discussion to learn about territorial disputes in the South China Sea that continue to be a source of tension and potential conflict between China and other countries. 

Featuring

Alphonse F. La Porta; U.S. Ambassador

Retired from the U.S. Foreign service after 38 years of service in the Department of State. He continues as a private consultant to the Department of Defense. Ambassador La Porta was Ambassador to Mongolia in 1977-2000, president of the United States-Indonesia Society (USINDO) from 2004 through 2007 and is presently (pro bono) president of the Malaysia-America Foundation.
