Busey Bank (formally known as TheBANK of Edwardsville) is a local community bank that places importance on promoting diversity within its company and bettering the community. Busey Bank has already demonstrated the value of international inclusion in a variety of ways:
- Busey Bank has a diverse staff that caters to all potential clients in the community
- It includes bilingual team members to assist Latino customers and provide guidance in Spanish regarding all banking needs
- It has an established Hispanic Outreach Program
- Is one of the first businesses in Illinois to join the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
- It has developed partnerships with the Latino Roundtable of Southwestern Illinois
- Has partnerships with local non-profits, churches, schools, and libraries in the community that have increased populations of Hispanics
As an Ambassador Company at the Silver level, Busey Bank will now do the following:
- It will serve as a professional connector for immigrants in Madison and St. Clair counties
- Will offer products and services catered to individuals whom may not have long credit histories due to being new in the United States
- Staff members of the company will continue to speak on panels to educate the region on the growing Latino customer base
- Share Mosaic flyers to spread awareness of the Mosaic Project
- Encourage associates to become Mosaic Ambassadors
- Share Mosaic material with newly arriving international employees
