Enterprise Bank & Trust to Join St. Louis Mosaic Ambassador Company at the Silver Level

St. Louis Mosaic Project is eager to announce Enterprise Bank & Trust as the 21stMosaic Ambassador Company. Enterprise Bank & Trust has been recognizing diversity and inclusion as a part of their success, and fully embraced their work place environment to be welcoming and open to all people.

Enterprise Bank & Trust started a Diversity & Inclusion Council in May of 2012 with the following purpose: “Diversity and Inclusion are vital to the commitment Enterprise Bank & Trust has to fostering a richer experience for our clients, communities and shareholders.  Our Diversity & Inclusion Council works to align efforts Enterprise-wide to create an inclusive work environment where the unique qualities of our associates yield creativity and innovation."

Since then, Enterprise Bank & Trust’s efforts to create a more inclusive and welcoming community have become even more intentional.  Following are some examples:

·         In 2014, the Bank appointed its first Director of Diversity & Inclusion (title since changed to SVP, Strategic Alliances & Inclusion).

·         The Bank was named the 2014 Business Advocate of the Year by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the SVP, Strategic Alliances & Inclusion was honored as the Member of the Year in 2016.

·         A member of the Senior Management Team was named a 2015 Diverse Business Leader by the St. Louis Business Journal.

·         One of the Bank’s young Latina leaders recently completed the Hispanic Leadership Initiative program and was recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of their 30 Under 30 awardees.

·         Representatives of the Bank serve on such Boards of Directors as the International Institute, Diversity Awareness Partnership (DAP), the Asian American Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (HCC).

·         Job openings are posted in partnership with DAP and the HCC. In addition, all jobs are posted on hundreds of diversity-related job sites through the Local Job Network/missouridiversity.com.

·         Relationships have been established with a variety of local colleges and universities, and Enterprise has recently formalized its summer internship program for the purpose of identifying and developing diverse candidates for possible future employment with the company.

·         Approximately 5 years ago, Enterprise established its Career Acceleration Program, an 18-20 month rotational development program for recent college graduates and other early career individuals. Preferred program participants are females and minorities with high potential for future success.

·         Intentional efforts are made to hire bilingual associates, especially in our Kansas City Prescott Branch. Located adjacent to a large Hispanic community in the KC area, this branch was opened in February 2014 to specifically serve this local population and has been extremely successful in doing so, as evidenced by its continual and accelerating growth.

·         The Bank recently kicked off its second cohort of the EFSC Reciprocal Mentoring Program – Empower & Enlighten.  This Program has been designed to provide clear benefits for both “sides” of each mentoring pair.  The goal of the Program is to increase awareness of unconscious bias and appreciation of differences, facilitate behavioral change, and establish a more inclusive succession plan pipeline.

As a Mosaic member, Enterprise Bank & Trust will complete at least three of the following actions:

·         Post open positions on Mosaic’s website to encourage diverse applications.

·         Encourage associates to become Mosaic Ambassadors.

·         Continue to support entrepreneurship through involvement with and financial support of the Hispanic and Asian American Chambers of Commerce.

·         Increase hiring of diverse and bilingual associates.
